A Different Kind of Learning, Explained

You are about to learn a model that will fundamentally change how you practice forever.

You are stepping into a structured learning experience designed to give you clarity you have been unable to find anywhere else. This curriculum is not entertainment and it is not a collection of disconnected techniques. It is a principled model that reshapes how you think and work across the entire continuum.

What the UHPC Certification Curriculum Delivers

Every practitioner reaches a point where more techniques don’t help and the old way of thinking stops making sense. This curriculum gives you the foundation and direction you need to move forward with confidence and become the practitioner you’ve been working to become.

#1 Clarity That Sticks

This curriculum gives you a coherent way to understand what you’re seeing so your decisions stop feeling uncertain or contradictory. Once you see what the model reveals, you cannot unsee it.

#2 A New Lens

You will learn to interpret human behavior with precision instead of guessing or relying on techniques. This lens changes how you assess, plan, and solve problems.

#3 Better Decisions

Instead of hoping an exercise works, you will understand why it should work and when it will work. Your choices become intentional, consistent, and grounded in principle.

#4 Scaling To Complexity

The model holds up when cases get difficult, instead of fracturing like most legacy or commercial systems. You can work effectively across the entire continuum.

#5 Real Skill Development

This is not about collecting information. It is about building the ability to think and reason in ways that immediately improve your sessions and outcomes

#6 Lifelong Support

Your free month of UHP+ connects you to a community that continues to refine the model and your understanding of it. You are not learning this alone.

Who This Is NOT For

• Those wanting quick tips instead of understanding.
• People who expect casual, unlimited video access.
• Learners who avoid responsibility or deeper thinking.
•  Anyone who mixes unrelated systems into the model.
• Practitioners who want things to stay the same.
• People unwilling to challenge old assumptions.

This curriculum is not built for passive learners or people looking for shortcuts. The UHPC Model requires structure, engagement, and a genuine desire to think clearly. We care deeply about maintaining a community of practitioners who respect the model and the people they serve, which means this is not the right path for everyone.

Who This IS For

• Practitioners who want clarity that lasts.
•  Those committed to principled, coherent reasoning.
• People who take their craft seriously and show up fully.
•  True problem solvers at every level of complexity.
• Professionals driven by excellence and better outcomes.
• Learners who want to grow with likeminded community

This curriculum is built for practitioners who want to rise to a higher standard and bring clarity, coherence, and purpose to their work. It is for those who are committed to improving their reasoning, elevating their outcomes, and becoming the kind of professional people trust when complexity increases.

Real experiences from clinicians and coaches using the UHPC Model

Even with over 20-years of experience, I was left with so many unanswered questions. Learning the UHPC model has provided me answers to those questions while continuing to expand my thinking. It has challenged me to improve my clinical reasoning, identify treatment/training priorities, rationalize my sequencing, and to define and defend my process. I have immensely improved my treatment outcomes and my passion for learning about methods to optimize and enhance human movement.
Dr. Jennifer Reiner-Marcello, DC, CCSP
Learning this model has expedited my ability to get results for my clients. I've spent time, energy, and money on nearly every commercially available movement model. All of them fell short somewhere and I felt gaps in my understanding. The UHPC model allowed me to fill these gaps by understanding overarching principles.
I have confidence and an understanding of how to make better and faster training-related decisions for my athletes. These courses help practitioners synthesize their knowledge with an overarching model that creates cohesion and understanding. I highly recommend it for professionals that aspire to be at the top of their field.
Ryan Patrick, Coach/Personal Trainer
Taking these courses has made a huge difference in my clinical decision-making and coaching. The UHPC assessment and movement framework has given me a clear, practical way to think and communicate about movement, and it’s helped me select interventions and training strategies with precision and intent. The ongoing refinement and depth of the model keep pushing my understanding forward, and I always walk away with something I can apply immediately. The network and relationships you build with other professionals are incredible, and the shared discussions and collaboration are just as valuable as the coursework itself. It’s easily worth the investment.
Dr. Vikram Somal, DPT, CSCS

How the Courses Work

  • Each course includes six months of full access to all content

  • Courses can be completed without joining UHP+

  • Continued access to completed courses is available through UHP+ subscription

  • Principles and Concepts includes a $99 UHP+ credit, usable toward a month or a year of membership

  • When you enroll in UHPC course, you receive full access to all course content for six months. This includes every video lesson, demonstration, article, webinar, presentation, written summary, quiz, and assignment associated with the course.

Six months reflects the scope and depth of the material. The original Principles and Concepts course was delivered as a structured live cohort with weekly instruction and recitation over a much shorter timeframe. The current self-paced format preserves that depth while providing substantially more time to study, revisit, and apply the material.

Time to Study and Revisit the Material

The six-month access period allows you to move through the course at a steady pace, return to complex sections as needed, and begin applying the concepts in practice while the material is still available.

In many educational settings, access ends when instruction ends. A college course concludes at the end of the term. A live weekend course typically offers no replay beyond notes or slides. This format provides extended access compared to both, while still maintaining a clear window for completion and engagement.

    After the Course Access Period

Once the six-month course access period ends, continued access to completed course materials is available through the UHP Network with an active UHP+ membership. Within the Network, completed courses become part of your ongoing resource library alongside current discussions, clarifications, case applications, and updates as the model evolves.

Enrollment in the Principles and Concepts course includes a one-time $99 UHP+ credit. This credit can be applied in one of two ways:

    • Toward a monthly UHP+ membership, reducing the first month to $0.99 (99 percent off), or

    • Toward an annual UHP+ membership, reducing the annual price by $99, which is 10 percent off the standard annual rate

This credit effectively extends your access to the course to 7 months, while giving you full exposure to the UHP+ environment. During that additional month, you can continue reviewing your completed course materials while also participating in UHP+ exclusive forums, weekly calls, resource libraries, and other ongoing education that supports application and deeper understanding of the model.

Why the Structure Is Set Up This Way

The defined course window supports completion and application of the material within a reasonable timeframe. Continued access through the Network allows the material to remain connected to the current state of the model rather than existing as a static reference.

The UHPC Model is applied as a coherent framework, and keeping course resources connected to the community where the work is actively taught and discussed helps maintain clarity and consistency over time.

    Principles & Concepts

The P&C course is the foundation of the UHPC Curriculum, teaching the core principles and constraints that organize all human movement. It simplifies complexity into clear, usable ideas so you can reason effectively, choose interventions with purpose, and solve unfamiliar problems with confidence. P&C gives clinicians, coaches, and health professionals the essential lens needed for every course that follows..

    Assessment

The Assessment course teaches you to interpret behavior through a within-subject experimental lens, not a checklist of joint ranges. You learn to see how a system manages pressure, orientation, and propulsion under changing constraints, and how strategies emerge or reorganize in real time. Instead of labeling problems, you identify starting strategies, read solutions, and adapt based on what the system actually does. This course expands directly on P&C and prepares you for the Programming and Interventions courses that follow.

    Programming & Interventions for Health

The P&I Health course teaches you how to use the strategies identified in Assessment to reorganize a person back within their base of support and restore efficient movement for real-world demands. You learn how to apply constraints that reduce compensatory behaviors, improve dynamic options, and build capacity for daily tasks, general mobility, and re-entry into training. This course focuses on lower-intensity environments where the goal is to re-establish foundational movement behavior and ensure people progress without slipping back into their old strategies.

    Programming & Interventions for Performance

The P&I Performance course shows you how to extend the same principled reasoning to higher-intensity training and sport environments. You learn to superimpose load, speed, volume, and complexity onto reorganized movement strategies without triggering reversion or compensatory collapse. This course teaches you how to design progression, graded exposure, and performance-oriented training that maintains coherence under stress, allowing athletes and high-demand clients to perform, adapt, and progress with precision.
    UHPC Certification Capstone

    The Intensive

The Intensive is the in-person capstone experience that completes the UHPC Certification process. After successfully completing all four primary curriculum courses, practitioners may apply to attend a multi-day Intensive with Bill Hartman. Admission is selective and reflects readiness, not just course completion. Applicants are expected to demonstrate sustained engagement with the model, including a minimum period of applied experience, submitted case studies, and, when required, video examples of practical application. The Intensive centers on live reasoning, application, and evaluation, culminating in an in-person capstone assessment and UHPC Practitioner certification. Information on eligibility, preparation, and application is shared through the UHP Network, where ongoing mentorship supports readiness for this final step.
